Will Lawrence is in his first season (2026) as an assistant football coach at Wayne State College working with linebackers.
Lawrence comes to Wayne State after serving the past three seasons as defensive coordinator/inside linebackers coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University where he inherited one of the worst defenses in NCAA Divsion III football by lowering the season yards per game average by 193 yards over a three-year span.
Other coaching stops for Lawrence included one year (2022) as defensive coordinator/inside linebackers coach at West Hills College in California and two years as defensive coordinator/inside linebackers at Graceland University in Iowa.
Lawrence is a graduate of Graceland University where he earned a bachelor's degree in corrective exercise and performance enhancement.
