Megan Finn enters her eighth year with Wayne State College Athletics in 2025–26, stepping into the role of Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs after serving seven years as Director for Athletics Development. In her new position, Finn oversees revenue generation, major gifts, annual giving, and corporate sponsorships for Wildcat Athletics, as well as day-to-day fundraising and alumni engagement initiatives.
Finn played a pivotal role in securing over $5.6 million for the Athletics and Recreation Complex (ARC) Project, the largest athletic construction effort in Wayne State history. Completed in spring 2025, the $30 million project features the new Wildcat Dome (air-supported structure), major Recreation Center renovations, a varsity-only weight room, and the Bebee Family Atrium. She is now helping lead planning for Phase III, which will convert the Gardner Indoor Athletic Complex into a practice gym and renovate the Rice Auditorium lobby.
Finn also leads signature fundraising and engagement events, including the Cat Club, annual golf tournaments, program reunions, and the April Giving Day Scholarship Campaign, which has raised nearly $500,000 in just five years. In 2021, she helped create the Women's Wildcat Open to support scholarships for female student-athletes. The event has grown each year, with the 2025 tournament marking a record 108 participants.
Before joining Wayne State, Finn spent 8½ years at Great Western Bank in Omaha, advancing to Assistant Vice President and gaining experience in cash management and personal banking.
An Omaha native and graduate of Roncalli Catholic High School, Finn attended Dana College, where she played women’s basketball, before earning her B.S. in Business Administration and Spanish from Midland University in 2010. She later earned her MBA from Midland in 2014.
Deeply engaged in the Wayne community, Finn currently serves as Board President for Wayne America, Inc. and is a member of the Wayne Rotary Club. She is serving as past chair of the Business and Industry Committee, a Wayne Country Club Board Member, a graduate of Leadership Wayne 2020, and has volunteered as an assistant girls’ basketball coach at Wayne High School.
