Coach Brink's comments: Alex has done a great job of transforming himself into a very good collegiate triple jumper, who I think has a great shot at making it to the NCAA National meet.  I don't think as a freshman many people would have ever guessed he had the talent to do that.  He has a great work ethic and is very dedicated to being the best he can be.  He is a quiet leader on our team who leads by example more than by words.  He is also an outstanding student who has earned Academic All-American honors and the NSIC Myles Brand award for academic excellence.
