What makes you the person you are today? The way my parents raised me and my faith. I get my competitiveness from always going against my older brother and sister when we were younger playing games in the yard and driveway. Didn't get too many wins back in the day but I think I can hold my own now!
Coach Disch's comments: Mike will be a four year stater this spring and is from Sioux City Bishop Heelan High School in Sioux City, IA. He has continued the tradition of outfielders from Sioux City earning All American honors (Dustin Jones and Joe Wendte) while playing for Wayne State. As a fifth year player, he continues to lead by example both on and off the field and more importantly has a smile on his face when he is on the baseball field. Academically, his grade point average is above 3.0. He will hit in the middle of our order this spring and is one of our offensive leaders.
