#16 Minnesota State 7 Wayne State 0

#16 Minnesota State earned an easy 7-0 NSIC soccer win over Wayne State on Sunday afternoon in Wayne.  The Mavericks scored three goals in the first 1:30 of the game and cruised to the win.  With the win, Minnesota State moved to 9-2-2 overall and 7-1-1 in the NSIC.  Wayne State fell to 1-14-1 overall and 1-8 in the NSIC with the loss.

           

Minnesota State held a commanding 33-2 advantage in shots over WSC.  Ann Kincaid and Sarah Schellinger each scored two goals to lead the Mavericks offensively.  Leslie Peterson, Kelly Sadler and Lauren Butters also had goals, and Carly Petersen had three assists for Minnesota State on the day.  Megan Kenealy and Tiffani Kellerman had the only shots for Wayne State in the game.  Sheila Reynolds made one save and earned the win in goal for Minnesota State.  Emily Walker took the loss in goal for WSC, allowing the seven goals and making eight saves. 

Wayne State returns to action next weekend at MSU Moorhead on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and Minnesota, Crookston on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
