St. Cloud State 3 Wayne State 0
St. Cloud State blanked Wayne State 3-0 in Northern Sun Conference women's soccer played Sunday afternoon in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The host Huskies improved to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the NSIC with the win while keeping Wayne State winless on the season at 0-8-1 overall and 0-2 in league play.
St. Cloud State scored twice in the first half and added another goal in the 68th minute in the second half to record the 3-0 win. The Huskies held a sizeable 27-6 edge in shots and 8-1 in corner kicks over the Wildcats. Sophomore goalkeeper Emily Walker was credited with nine saves while allowing three goals in net for the Wildcats.
Wayne State will be at home next weekend, hosting Northern State Saturday and the University of Mary on Sunday in Northern Sun Conference matches starting at 1:00 p.m. each day.
