          The University of Mary scored a goal in the 67
th minute to give the Marauders a 2-1 victory over Wayne State in Northern Sun soccer play Saturday afternoon in Wayne at the Wayne State College Soccer Complex. The Marauders improve to 5-7-3 overall with a 4-6-2 record in the NSIC while the Wildcats drop to 2-12-1 overall with a 1-11 record in the NSIC.
           The Wildcats took an early lead in the match with a goal from
Josie Brown, her third on the season, off of a cross from
Kelsea Lambert. The Marauders scored the equalizing goal in the 36
th minute with a header by Andrea Muller, scoring her fourth goal of the season, off of the cross from Mykala Benjamin. The second half started off mostly back and forth with both teams having scoring opportunities. The University of Mary scored their second, and winning, goal in the 67
th minute when Andrea Muller scored her second goal of the match off of the assist by Michelle McGeary, and held on for the 2-1 victory.
           Wayne State out-shot the University of Mary in the match with 17 shots as a team to just 10 by the Marauders. The 'Cats also held the advantage in corners earned in the match with seven corners to five corners earned by the University of Mary. The teams were whistled for almost the identical number of fouls, with the Marauders being called for eight fouls while the Wildcats were called for seven fouls in the match. Â

Josie Brown led the Wildcats offensively with the lone Wildcat goal in the match, along with three shots.Â
McKenna Adams had four shots, two of which were on goal, while
Kelsea Lambert,
Kelsey Engstrom,
Alex Mathers and
Rachel Mabrey added two shots each in the match.Â

Margaret Harma made two saves for the Wildcats in the loss, and now has an overall record of 1-11-1 on the season.
           The Wildcats will be at home again Sunday afternoon, hosting Minot State in a 1 p.m. NSIC matchup.
