Kelsea Lambert scored second half goals to give Wayne State College a 2-0 Northern Sun Conference women's soccer win at the University of Sioux Falls Sunday afternoon in the regular season finale for both teams. WSC ends the season at 3-14-1 overall and 2-13 in the NSIC while Sioux Falls ends the year at 2-15-1 and 2-13 in league play.
After a scoreless first half, WSC opened the scoring four minutes into the second half when senior defender
Alex Mathers scored off a corner kick from
Mallory Hoyt for a 1-0 Wildcat lead.
The 'Cats added another goal at the 61:30 mark when forward
Kelsea Lambert score on a cross from
Josie Brown to give WSC a 2-0 lead to wrap up the scoring.
Wayne State held an 18-15 edge in shots over the Cougars while USF had a 7-5 edge in shots on goal. The Wildcats had an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks while USF had one more foul than WSC, 7-6.
Kelsea Lambert led Wayne State in shots with five followed by Brown and Hobza with three each.

Margaret Harma recorded six saves while notching her second shutout of the season in the win.
