Wayne State returns to NSIC South Division play this weekend hosting #19 Upper Iowa and Winona State at Rice Auditorium in Wayne.  Friday's game vs. the Peacocks tips off at 7:30 p.m. followed by Saturday's contest against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m.
The Wildcats are 11-8 and fourth place in the NSIC South at 8-5 entering this weekend.  Upper Iowa is ranked 19th in this week's NABC Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll with records of 19-3 and 13-3 (2nd place) in the NSIC South while Winona State begins the weekend at 13-6 and third in the NSIC South at 9-5 in the league.  WSC and Upper Iowa met earlier this season (December 18) in Fayette, Iowa with the host Peacocks shooting 60 percent in the second half to break a 39-39 halftime tie as UIU ended with an 88-76 win.  The WSC at Winona State game scheduled for December 17th in Winona was canceled due to COVID protocols.
