Wayne State defeated Minnesota Crookston 3-0 in NSIC Action Friday afternoon in Wayne. Wayne State moves to 1-5-2 while Minnesota Crookston falls to 1-7-0 on the season.

The first Wildcat goal came at the 7:40 minute mark of the first half when midfielder
Annika Syvrud broke away from the defenders for her first goal on the season. The Wildcats would lead after the first half 1-0. Â

Syvrud would see her second goal of the game come at the 51:01 mark during the second half when she would be assisted by forward
Reagan Allen.
Leah Bennett would also get her first goal on the season at the 80:56 mark after
Skylar Stueckrath's shot went off the right post back into Bennett where she would shoot and score to give the Wildcats the 3-0 lead with nine minutes to play.

Kaelyn Reeves would lead the Wildcats with three shots in the game. She was followed by
Paige Pemberton,
Alyssa Ferin, Stueckrath, and Syvrud. Syvrud would also have the most shots on goal with two in the game.
Hayden Wallace would have all four saves for the Wildcats in the win.
The Wildcats would out shoot the Golden Eagles 17-7 in the game while both teams finished with four saves in the match. Wayne State would also have seven shots on goal in the match compared to Minnesota Crookston's four. The Wildcats also took more corners in the match with five compared to the Golden Eagle's one. Â
The Wildcats will be at home again Sunday afternoon hosting Bemidji State at 1 p.m. at the Wayne State soccer pitch.
