A late penalty kick from the Wildcats helped force the 1-1 tie against Bemidji State Sunday afternoon in Wayne. With the tie the Wildcats are now 1-5-3 on the season and 1-3-2 in NSIC play. The Beavers are now 4-2-3 on the season and 3-1-2 in the NSIC.
Both goals would come late in the second half with Bemidji State scoring in the 74:20 minute of the match on a corner kick from Megan Majewski into the box for a header from Beavers forward Erin Becker for the score to make it 1-0 Bemidji with about 15 minutes to play.
The Wildcats would then take advantage late on a foul inside the box that set up midfielder
Annika Syvrud for the game tying penalty kick to the top of the goal to tie the game at 1-1 at the 85:01 minute of the second half.
The Beavers would out shoot the Wildcats in the game 20-5 while Wayne State led the game in saves at 6-2. Bemidji State would also take nine corners to the Wildcats one.

The Wildcats will be at home again next weekend, hosting Southwest Minnesota State Friday at 2 p.m. and Sioux Falls Sunday in a 1 p.m. contest.
