MSU Moorhead Late Goal Forces 1-1 Tie in Wayne

MSU Moorhead uses goal in the 88th minute to tie Wildcats 1-1 in Wayne on Sunday afternoon. WSC moves to 4-4-2 on the season (2-2-2 NSIC) while the Dragons move to 1-5-4 (0-2-4 NSIC).
 
Wildcats would start the game moving the ball, having four shots in the first 15 minutes of the contest. The first and only goal for the Wildcats would come in the 18th minute of the contest by Forward Reagan Allen. It was her second of the season. She was assisted on the goal by Paige Pemberton.
 
Two minutes later. Annika Syvrud would have a shot on goal for the 'Cats to the right corner of the goal. The first half would end 1-0 in favor of the Wildcats.
 
WSC would have 13 shots in the first half led by Allen with five. One of which was on goal. Maia Vacks, Christina Marlow, and Syvrud would all have one shot on goal for the 'Cats. Wildcats would also lead in corner kicks with three to the Dragons one.  

Wildcats would come out in the second half with a shot in the first minute by Syvrud and another from Vacks, both of which were on goal for the 'Cats. Skylar Stueckrath would have another chance to extend the Wildcat lead in the 72nd minute of the contest which ended up with another save for Dragon goalkeeper Simone Lewald.
 
The game tying goal came from Izabela Flores off a free kick from the Dragons. She was assisted by Tabea Czech for her first goal of the season for the Dragons. The game would then end tied at 1-1.
 
Allen led WSC with six shots in the contest. She was followed by Stueckrath and Syvrud with three each. Vacks would also tack on two for Wayne State in the tie. WSC would have 20 shots in the contest to the Dragons four. WSC would also lead in corner kicks with six to MSUM two.
 
The Wildcats continue their homestand Thursday afternoon hosting Concordia-St. Paul in a Northern Sun Conference contest starting at 3 p.m.
