After going 3-1 with a second-place finish over the weekend at the Colorado Premier Challenge, the Wayne State College volleyball team remained third in the latest AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Top 25 Women's Volleyball Coaches' Poll released Monday afternoon. The Wildcats collected 1,055 points in voting conducted by various Division II coaches from across the country.
Wayne State, now 7-1 on the season, posted wins over the weekend against Texas-Tyler (3-0), #19 Regis (3-1) and #13 West Florida 3-0 before falling in five sets to then #2 Concordia-St. Paul Saturday evening in the championship match of the Colorado Premier Challenge. The Wildcats open their Northern Sun Conference schedule Friday evening at home hosting now #1 Concordia-St. Paul in Rice Auditorium at 6 p.m.
