Wayne State used a first half goal to top Southwest Minnesota State 1-0 Sunday afternoon in Wayne. WSC moves to 4-2 on the season (2-0 NSIC) while SMSU falls to 0-4 (0-1 NSIC).

Leah Bennett would score the lone goal of the game in the 29
th minute of the first half to put WSC ahead 1-0. It was Bennett's first goal of the season.

The first half would see four shots for each team. WSC would have more corner kicks with three to SMSU one shot. WSC would have four saves in the half to the Mustangs one.
