Wayne State and Minnesota Duluth played to a 0-0 draw in Northern Sun Conference women's soccer Sunday afternoon at Malosky Stadium in Duluth, Minnesota. The Wildcats are now 4-3-1 and 2-1-1 in the NSIC while the host Bulldogs are 2-3-3 and 1-2-2 in conference play.
The first half saw host UMD post a 12-2 advantage in shots over the Wildcats and finished the contest with a 20-6 edge including 9-3 in shots on goal. Both teams had three corner kicks while UMD was called for two more fouls than the Wildcats 9-7.
Maia Vacks had two shots and one on goal to lead WSC while
Annika Syvrud and
Paige Pemberton also registered shots on goal.
Skylar Stueckrath and
Riann Daas were also credited with shots.
Senior goalkeeper
Hayden Wallace recorded nine saves in the contest.
Wayne State will host a pair of NSIC contests next weekend, facing Northern State Friday at 3 p.m. and MSU Moorhead Sunday at 12 p.m.
