Wayne State Falls to McKendree 2-0

Wayne State Soccer fell to McKendree 2-0 on Friday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri. Wayne State falls to 2-1 on the season while McKendree improves to 4-0 on the season. 

McKendree's goals came in the first half, the first being off a penalty kick at the 15:41 mark of the first half. The second came at the 38:52 mark of the first half. 

WSC would have five shots in the match. The first came from Riann Daas at the 10:41 mark of the first half that went wide right. Wildcats would have a pair of shots in the 60 minute mark of the game the first from Chloe Schlines went wide left while Maia Vacks shot went wide right. The final two shots for WSC came in late in the game, the first at the 81st minute with a Morgan Rhodes shot. The second was Skylar Stueckrath whose shot was blocked in the 82nd minute. 

Goalkeeper Hayden Wallace would have four saves for the Wildcats in the loss. Wayne State would also get out shot (5-17). The Bearcats would also have more corner kicks with six compared to the Wildcats three. 

Wayne State will next be in action on Sunday when they travel to Topeka, Kan. to take on Washburn. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
