The Wayne State College women's cross country team finished 13
th place with a team score of 378 Saturday afternoon at the Northern Sun Conference Championships held in Minot, North Dakota. Freshman
Kaitlyn Bloomenrader was the top Wildcat runner placing 79
th out of 145 runners.
Augustana captured the team title with 54 points followed by UMary in second at 72 and Winona State third with 75 points. Minnesota Duluth (98) and Minnesota State (107) closed out the top five teams.
Sioux Falls was sixth at 190 points with Minot State seventh at 201. MSU Moorhead (255), Bemidji State (267) and St. Cloud State (279) rounded out the top 10 teams.
Bloomenrader's time on the 6,000-meter course was 23:32.2 for the top Wayne State finish.
Allie Czapla was next in 86
th at 23:43.4 and
Sydney Escritt was 104
th in a time of 24:28.2.
Madeline Kunz followed in 105
th at 24:34.6 and
Callie Kirchner was 106
th at 24:40.1.
