The Wayne State College women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 non-conference contest to South Dakota State Thursday evening at Fishback Soccer Park in Brookings, South Dakota. The host Jackrabbits improve to 5-2-1 with the victory while the Wildcats slip to 1-1-1.
South Dakota State struck early in the contest, scoring at the 3:28 mark for a 1-0 lead. The Jackrabbits scored again in the 24
th minute to take a 2-0 lead at intermission.
The score remained 2-0 until SDSU scored a pair of goals in the final 10 minutes of the contest for the 4-0 win, recording goals at the 82:51 and 85:30 marks of the contest.
South Dakota State controlled the contest recording 34 shots with 18 on goal against the Wildcats while holding WSC without a shot in the contest.
The Jackrabbits held a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks while WSC was called for offsides twice in the game. Wayne State was called for two more fouls than the Jackrabbits 6-4.

Sidney Truman played all 90 minutes in net for WSC and was credited with 13 saves while allowing four goals.
Wayne State concludes non-conference play Sunday afternoon hosting Washburn at the WSC Soccer Pitch starting at 1 p.m.
