Wayne State athletics will be honoring veterans at a pair of home events Saturday highlighting several promotions at Wildcat home events this weekend.
Friday evening is Autograph Poster Night when the third-ranked Wayne State volleyball team hosts the University of Jamestown at 6 p.m. Bring the family for a fun night of Wildcat volleyball and stick around after the game for autographs with the Wildcat volleyball players in the Bebee Family Atrium located between Rice Auditorium and the Recreation Center.
Saturday will be Veterans Appreciation Day as all veterans receive free admission to the Wayne State home football game vs. #13 Augustana at 1 p.m. at Cunningham Field and to the Wildcat home volleyball match in Rice Auditorium vs. Northern State at 5 p.m. Military ID required to gain free admission to each event.
Saturday's home football game also marks the 37
th annual Egg Bowl contest sponsored by Michael Foods of Wakefield. The event has helped raise over $175,000 for Wildcat student-athletes and is a celebration of the long-standing partnership between Michael Foods and Wayne State athletics.
