Four athletes from the Wayne State College women's track and field team were named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team released Tuesday morning and selected by College Sports Communicators. Junior thrower

Hailey Baker and
McKenna Markle and sophomore
Torrance Tso received the award for the first time.
Eligible nominees must maintain a minimum grade average of 3.50 or higher and have posted a top 50 mark in her respective event(s) within the Central Region.
Schwarzrock, a junior from Gibbon, Minnesota (Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop HS), recorded a 3.85 grade point average majoring in forensic science. She posted a fourth-place finish in the shot put, ranking 12
th in the Central Region, with a personal-best mark of 45' 10" and earned a seventh-place medal during the indoor season in the shot put at 43' 7 ¼".
Baker, a senior from Blair (Blair HS), maintained a grade point average of 3.57 majoring in education. She earned All-NSIC honors this season with a second-place finish in the hammer throw (180' 10") at the NSIC Outdoor Championships to rank 10
th in the NCAA Central Region. During the indoor season Baker was 12
th in the weight throw.
Markle, a senior from Ponca City, Oklahoma (Cowley College), accumulated a 3.75 grade point average majoring in criminal justice. She produced a sixth-place medal in the hammer throw at the NSIC Outdoor Championships with a top mark of 153' 1". Markle had top 50 marks in the hammer throw and in the weight throw during the indoor season.
Tso, a sophomore from Norfolk (Norfolk HS), had a 3.68 grade point average majoring in psychology and criminal justice. She earned All-NSIC honors and was an NCAA outdoor national qualifier in the discus placing third at the NSIC Outdoor Championships with a top throw of 154' 2". Tso was ninth in the Central Region and 17
th in NCAA Division II in the discus this season.
