Reilly Young has been voted Northern Sun Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Year as the NSIC announced their year-end Athletes of the Year Thursday morning.
           A graduate of Central Valley HS (Scotia), Young was the NSIC champion in the discus at last weekend's NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Duluth, Minnesota with a mark of 164' 11" and she earned All-NSIC honors with a third-place finish in the hammer throw at 162' 8". She scored 16 of Wayne State's 38 points at the NSIC Championships.
           Young is an NCAA national qualifier in the discus and will compete at the Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Pueblo, Colorado next Friday (May 23
rd) at 3 p.m. Central Time. She ranks third in NCAA Division II with a top mark of 171' 0" at the Maverick Open in Mankato, Minnesota April 30
th. It's the second time that Young is a national qualifier in the discus (2023 sophomore season).  Â
