Reilly Young of Wayne State College has been named All-Central Region in the discus by USTFCCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association).  Top-five individuals in each event from each region along with each of the members of a top-three ranked relay team qualify for the honor.
            A senior from Scotia (Central Valley HS), Young posted the top mark in the Central Region this season in the discus, throwing 171' 0" in back-to-back events at the Maverick Open (April 30) and the USD Tune-Up Meet May 3rd.
            Young has qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the discus and will compete Friday at 3 p.m. Central Time in Pueblo, Colorado on Friday, May 23rd.
