For a fifth consecutive week the Wayne State volleyball team is ranked second in this week's AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Volleyball Coaches Poll released Monday afternoon. The Wildcats collected one first-place vote and 1,116 points in voting conducted by various Division II coaches across the country after posting three NSIC road wins last week that included a sweep at then #11 Southwest Minnesota State last Tuesday night.
Wayne State sits 17-1 overall and tied for first in the NSIC with #14 Minnesota Duluth at 9-0 in league play. The Wildcats play their next five games at home in Rice Arena starting this weekend with a 6 p.m. Friday night match against the University of Mary and a Saturday 11 a.m. contest against Minot State.
