The Golden Bears had a four-run fourth, taking a 6-2 advantage, but WSC got three of those runs back in the bottom of the inning making the score 6-5.  Heard had a bases-loaded clearing double as WSC used a pair of walks and a Mains single to load the bases.
CSP scored their final run of the game in the top of the fifth for a 7-5 lead.  WSC tied the game with two runs on just one hit in the bottom of the inning for a 7-7 game.  Brayden Chaney's two-run double was the lone hit of the inning.
Wayne State then won the game in the bottom of the sixth when Heard was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning followed by Nate Cunningham's two-run homer to right center field for a 9-7 win.
