After playing their first two games on the road, Wayne State will step foot on home turf for the first time this season Saturday afternoon at Bob Cunningham Field in Wayne when the Wildcats host #15 Minnesota Duluth in the Hall of Fame Game at 1 p.m.
WSC, ranked 24th in this week's D2Football.com Top 25 Media Poll, is off to a 2-0 start following last Thursday's 35-28 victory at Minot State while UMD, ranked 15th in the AFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll and 16th in D2Football.com Top 25 Media Poll, is 1-1 after a 30-23 home win last Thursday over then #16 Augustana.  Minnesota Duluth holds a 14-3 lead in the all-time series against WSC that started in the 1993 season at the NSIC Metrodome Classic.  The Wildcats have won the last two matchups against the Bulldogs including a 28-18 home win over #17 UMD in Wayne on October 7, 2023 in the most recent meeting between the two clubs.
