The Wayne State volleyball team remained second for the fourth straight week in the latest AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Volleyball Coaches Poll released Monday afternoon. The Wildcats received one first-place vote and 1,116 points in voting conducted by various Division II coaches across the country.
Wayne State, now 14-1 and tied for first in the NSIC with a 6-0 league mark, went 2-0 last week thanks to a 3-1 win at Augustana and a Saturday home sweep vs. Sioux Falls. The Wildcats are on the road for three NSIC matches this week, starting Tuesday night with a 6 p.m. contest at #11 Southwest Minnesota State in Marshall, Minnesota.
