#10 Wayne State College forced Minnesota, Crookston into 28 attack errors and a hitting percentage of -.016 as the Wildcats cruised to a 3-0 to a Northern Sun Conference victory Friday night in an at Rice Auditorium in Wayne, Nebraska. WSC is now 14-5 overall and 7-3 NSIC while UMC drops to 8-12, 3-8 NSIC.
The Wildcats set the tone in the first set forcing the Golden Eagles into 11 attack errors and a -.111 hitting percentage as WSC won the first set 25-13. WSC continued its stellar play and took care of Minnesota, Crookston 25-16 and 25-14 to complete the sweep.
Wayne State out hit Minnesota, Crookston .205 to -.016 as WSC had 35 kills with just 10 attack errors while UMC had 26 kills and 28 attack errors.
Senior outside hitter Tali Fredrickson notched her 10th double-double of the season with 11 kills and 13 digs to lead the Wildcats. Senior libero Leigh Connot had 20 digs while sophomore setter Tatum Wroblewski was credited with 32 set assists.
The Wildcats will close out their four game homestand Saturday afternoon hosting MSU Moorhead in a 3:00 p.m. NSIC contest at Rice Auditorium.
