Senior middle hitter Mindy Moody led a balanced hitting attack with 10 kills to help #13 Wayne State College sweep the University of Sioux Falls in non-conference volleyball played Tuesday evening at Rice Auditorium in Wayne, Nebraska. Scores of the match were 25-15, 25-13 and 26-24. The Wildcats are now 8-3 on the season while USF falls to 3-11.
The Wildcats out hit the Cougars in the match .204-.064 as WSC forced Sioux Falls into 25 attack errors in the win. WSC also had six team blocks to four by USF. Individually for WSC, Moody had a team high 10 kills followed by Cori Hobbs with nine and Tali Fredrickson eight. Fredrickson led WSC with 14 digs followed by senior libero Leigh Connot with 10 and sophomore setter Tatum Wroblewski handed out 31 set assists.
Wayne State will be at home again this weekend, entertaining Northern State Friday night at 7:00 p.m. followed by a 3:00 p.m. contest Saturday afternoon against the University of Mary at Rice Auditorium.
