The University of Mary used four first-half goals to defeat Wayne State 4-0 in Northern Sun Conference women's soccer played Friday evening in Bismarck, North Dakota. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 1-11-1 on the year and 1-8-1 in league play while the host Marauders improved to 3-9-1 and 3-6-1 with the victory.
The story of the game was the first half as the Marauders scored the first goal of the contest at the 15:40 mark for a 1-0 lead. Mary then scored two goals in a span of three minutes in the 27
th and 30
th minutes for a 3-0 lead and added the fourth and final goal of the contest just before halftime at the 43:41 mark for the 4-0 score.
Mary held a 17-13 advantage in shots over Wayne State including 10-5 in shots on goal. Wayne State had one more corner kick than the Marauders, 5-4, while Mary was called for five fouls compared to four on the Wildcats.

Natalie Poppe each recorded three shots with Adams notching a team-best two shots on goal. Freshman goalkeeper
Kylie Comba had six saves in the contest.
The Wildcats will be in action again Sunday afternoon visiting Minot State in a 1 p.m. Northern Sun Conference contest.
