Box Score Wayne State 5 Sioux Falls 2

                Five different players scored goals as Wayne State College ended the 2013 women's soccer season on a positive note with a 5-2 Northern Sun Conference home win Sunday afternoon over the University of Sioux Falls at the WSC Soccer Complex.  The Wildcats, who earlier in the week recorded a 0-0 tie at #19 Southwest Minnesota State, finishes the season 2-14-2 overall and 2-11-2 in the NSIC.  The five goals scored Sunday were the most by the Wildcats against an NCAA Division II team since the 2009 season when WSC beat MSU Moorhead 5-3.
                The Wildcats opened the scoring just under six minutes into the contest when Mallory Hoyt found the back of the net for an early 1-0 WSC lead.  WSC took a 2-0 lead at the 14:07 mark when a header from McKenna Adams off a pass from Hailey Smith got past the USF goalkeeper. 
                Wayne State then scored two goals late in the first half to take a 4-0 lead at intermission.  Macy Hagen scored her fourth goal of the season at the 40:45 mark for a 3-0 Wildcat advantage and less than three minutes later Natalie Poppe scored off a pass from Kelsea Lambert at the 43:24 mark to give the Wildcats a 4-0 lead.
                USF got on the scoreboard at the 64 minute mark to trim the WSC lead to 4-1, but the Wildcats pushed the lead back to four goals with just under 10 minutes remaining as sophomore Kelly Voigt beat the Cougar goalkeeper for a score and a 5-1 WSC lead.  Sioux Falls got a wind aided goal off a free kick from midfield with less than two minutes to play to make the final score 5-2.
                Wayne State had a 17-6 edge in shots over Sioux Falls including a 12-5 lead in shots on goal over the Cougars.  Senior Macy Hagen and junior forward McKenna Adams each had one goal and one assist to lead a balanced Wildcat effort.  Kelly Voigt scored her fourth goal of the season for WSC while Natalie Poppe and Mallory Hoyt also scored goals for the Wildcats.
                Senior  Ryan Wells played just over 70 minutes in goal for WSC to pick up the win, allowing one goal with two saves.  Freshman Kylie Comba had one save while allowing one goal in just under 20 minutes of work in goal.
                Five seniors played their final game in a Wildcat uniform Sunday.  They included Macy Hagen, Caitlin Hollinger, Kara Naumann, Norma Volkmer and Ryan Wells.
