Wayne State College head women's soccer coach
Tom Cliff announced today the addition of four student athletes to the 2014 Wildcat recruiting class. Joining 16 other members of the 2014 recruiting class are Taylor Bergeson of Hartford, South Dakota, preferred walk-on Jadyn Fulk of Lincoln,
McKenzie Hallstrom from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and
Kyhlie Hansen of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Taylor Bergeson is a 5-2 forward from West Central High School in South Dakota. She is a two year starter and four year letter winner in soccer and a five year starter and letter winner in track and field. Bergeson is a two-time, Class A SDSSA First Team All-State selection in soccer, scoring 12 goals during her senior season including the game-winner in the second overtime that led her team to the Class A state title. She also excels in track and field, earning a state medal three times while helping West Central to a pair of Class A state track titles.
Jadyn Faulk is a 5-7 midfielder from Lincoln Southeast High School where she was a two year starter in soccer and one year in track and field and will join the Wildcat program as a preferred walk-on.
McKenzie Hallstrom is a 5-4 defender from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina that is transferring to Wayne State after playing two seasons as Western Carolina. She was the team's fourth leading scorer in the 2012 season with two goals playing in 18 matches with 14 starts. In high school, Hallstrom was a multi-sport standout earning All-State honors in soccer three seasons while being an All-Coastal Plains Conference selection in cross country, basketball and football where she was a kicker on the football team.
Kyhlie Hansen is a 5-5 defender from East Career and Technical Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada where she has been a starter since her sophomore season in high school.
Wayne State College is an NCAA Division II school located in Wayne, Nebraska and competes in the 16 team Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Wildcats graduated five seniors from the 2013 team that was 2-14-2 overall and 2-11-2 in the NSIC. Wayne State finished the season on a strong note with a 0-0 tie at #19 Southwest Minnesota State and a 5-2 win over Sioux Falls in the final week of the season under first year head coach
