Box Score Wayne State 0 Northwestern Oklahoma State 0 (2 OT) Despite outshooting Northwestern Oklahoma State 27-5, the Wayne State College women's soccer team had to settle for a 0-0 double overtime tie against the Rangers in non-conference play Sunday afternoon at the WSC Soccer Pitch. The Wildcats are now 0-0-2 on the season while NWOSU is 0-1-1.
Wayne State held a 12-5 advantage on shots in the first half. The visiting Rangers had the best scoring chance with a penalty kick by Andrea Palacios, but WSC goalkeeper
Kylie Comba made a strong save to preserve the scoreless tie in the first half.
The Wildcats held Northwestern Oklahoma State without a shot the rest of the contest – 10-0 in the second half and 5-0 in the two overtimes, but could not find the back of the net.
Besides outshooting NWOSU 27-5, WSC held a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks. The Wildcats were called offside five times to two by the Rangers.
