NCAA Division II Outdoor Track Women's Discus Final Results
            Kacie O'Connor of Wayne State College finished 18
th out of 21 competitors in the women's discus Friday evening at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Bradenton, Florida, hosted by the University of Tampa and the IMG Academy.
           O'Connor, a sophomore from Sundance, Wyoming, posted a top mark of 141' 1" on her third and final throw in prelims after recording a mark of 140' 6" on her first attempt and a foul on the second. A mark of 153' 5" was needed to qualify for the finals.Â
           O'Connor entered the NCAA Division II National Championship with the 10
th-best mark in NCAA Division II after winning the NSIC discus title May 7
th in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with a personal-best mark of 158' 7".
           It was the fourth straight year that Wayne State College had a national qualifier in the women's discus as two-time All American
Sara Wells represented the Wildcats at nationals the previous three years while
Michaela Dendinger also qualified in the discus last season earning All American honors.
