Drury 12 Wayne State 0 (5 inn.)
Drury used a pair of six run innings to defeat Wayne State College 12-0 in five innings Friday afternoon at the Drury Softball Invitational in Springfield, Missouri. The host Panthers are now 7-4 following the win while Wayne State drops to 5-5.
The game was scoreless after 2 ½ innings when Drury opened the scoring with six runs on four hits while also taking advantage of three walks and a hit batter for a 6-0 lead.
Drury continued the momentum in the fourth inning with six more runs on five hits and one Wildcat error to finish with a 12-0 win.
Drury had a 10-4 edge in hits on the Wildcats. Four Wayne State players each recorded a single –

Freshman starter
Sloan Cooksey (1-3) suffered the pitching loss for the Wildcats, charged with six runs in three innings with four strikeouts and four walks.

Makenna Adkison each pitched in relief.
Wayne State will play again later Friday afternoon at the Drury Invitational vs. Southwest Baptist at 4 p.m.
