WSC Cheerleading Recruiting Questionnaire

Tryouts for the 2021-2022 Wayne State College Cheerleading Team have been set for Friday, March 26th and March 27th.  Tryouts are open to any high school or college aged student that has been admitted to WSC.  
 
Tryouts will take place at Rice Auditorium on the campus of Wayne State College (1111 Main Street, Wayne, NE  68787).  Please enter through the west doors.  Check in will be from 4-5 pm on Friday, March 26th.  Tryout material (cheers, dance and WSC jump prep) will be taught from 5-9 pm.  Team tryouts will be held on Saturday morning, March 27th beginning at 9 am, with the team announcement immediately following.  
 
Attire for the two days is as follows: 
March 26th: athletes should wear snug fitting, solid color athletic clothing without graphics or wording.  A face mask is required.
March 27:  athletes should wear a snug fitting white top and black bottoms.  Game day hair and makeup for females is required.  A plain black face mask should be worn for tryouts.  
 
Tumbling skills will be counted as bonus points.  
Previous stunting experience will be considered.  Please send a video to Coach Kimberley Endicott prior to tryouts (kiendi01@wsc.edu).  While previous cheer experience is helpful, it is not required.  We are looking for individuals who are willing to learn and try new things.  Picking up skills quickly and having a strong teamwork mentality is vital.  
 
If you cannot attend tryouts in person, please send a video to Coach Endicott (kiendi01@wsc.edu) showcasing the following:
Two jumps, one of which must be a toe touch
A dance
Two Cheers
Bonus, tumbling and stunts
Video tryouts will be accepted until 5 pm on March 26, 2021.  
 
In order to tryout (in person or via video), you MUST complete and return the attached athletic tryout packet to Alyssa Finke, no later than Friday, March 19th, 2021.  Athletes who send in their packets late will be subject to losing their ability to participate in tryouts.  
 
Athletic physicals must be completed by a MD, PA or DO and a urinalysis must be completed.  If you are under the age of 19 a parents signature will be required on all forms.
