Final Results Mark Schuck Minnesota State Open

Noah Lilly placed second and freshman
Alex Brandt was fifth in the heptathlon to lead the Wayne State men's indoor track and field team Friday and Saturday at the Mark Schuck Open hosted by Minnesota State in Mankato, Minnesota.
           Lilly, a senior from Creighton, placed second in the heptathlon at 4,508 points while Brandt, a freshman from Grand Island Northwest HS, recorded a fifth place finish with 4,108 points.
           Freshman Braden Johnson earned a fifth place mark in the long jump at 20' 7 ¼".
           In the weight throw, the Wildcats had a pair of top 10 finishers as senior
Cole Christoffersen came in sixth at 56' 2" while Elkhorn South junior
Grant Fritsch posted a ninth place finish at 52' 11 ½".Â
           Aurora freshman
Daniel Elge had an eighth place effort in the shot put at 45' 11 ¾".

Bryce Holcomb was eighth place in the 800 meter run in 1:59.09 while Wakefield sophomore Gabe Peitz finished 10th in the 600-meter dash with a time of 1:26.76.
           The Wildcat 4 x 400 meter relay team of
Jackson McIntyre,
Jacob Ladage,
Wyatt Nissen and
Michael Kueny came in fifth place at 3:30.65 while the quartet of
Bryce Holcomb, Kueny, Gabe Peitz and
Brock Hegarty was seventh with a time of 10:34.97.
           Wayne State will compete at two meets next weekend, traveling to Lincoln Friday and Saturday for the Husker Invite and Saturday at the USD Alumni Meet at the Dakota Dome in Vermillion.
