Cain Brown became the first indoor track All-American for the Wildcats since Cade Kalkowski in 2019 (weight throw) by placing in a tie for fifth place Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The junior from Williamsburg, Iowa cleared the first three heights on his opening attempt, clearing 6' 7', 6' 9" and 6' 11" before missing on all three attempts at 7' ¼".
A transfer from Iowa Western Community College, Brown becomes the first-ever high jump First Team All-American for the Wildcats. Brown was one of 18 national qualifiers and entered the national meet tied for 14
th nationally with a regular-season best mark of 6' 11 ½" at the Concordia Invite (2/14/26) that tied the WSC school record held by Dylan Kneifl (2/18/23).
