Midwest Fall Classic Women's Golf Final Results
Wayne State placed 11
th out of 17 teams battling cold and windy conditions Monday and Tuesday at the Midwest Fall Classic Women's Golf Tournament played at Mozingo Lakes Golf Course in Maryville, Missouri. The Wildcats shot rounds of 347 and 341 for two-day, 36-hole total of 688.
Augustana captured the team title with a 634 (323-311), 14 shots better than second place Central Missouri at 648. Nebraska-Kearney (656) finished two shots ahead of Missouri Western (658) for third with Northwest Missouri State and Oklahoma Baptist tied for fifth at 672.
Millard North junior
Jazmine Taylor was the top Wildcat golfer, shooting rounds of 85and 79 for a 164 to place tied for 18
th overall out of a field of 100 players. Boone Central sophomore
Abbigail Brodersen followed in a tie for 30
th overall at 170 following scores of 86 and 84.
Other Wildcat players were junior
Abbey Kurmel tied for 55
th with 177 (88-89), freshman
Saffire Sayre tied for 66
th with a 180 (88-92) and junior
Tricia Hemann at 183 (94-89), tied for 70
th.
Individually, junior
Viktoria Bortkiewicz-Hamelin tied for 64th at 179 (92-87).
