Wayne State College freshman Molly Goc was named Northern Sun Conference Women's Golfer of the Week Wednesday morning by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota following her performance at the MIAA Fall Preview played Monday and Tuesday in Andover, Kansas at Terradyne Country Club.
            A graduate of Columbus High School, Goc set a new school record Monday with a two-under par 69 and finished the 36-hole tournament with a one-over par 143 to tie a 36-hole school record in helping the Wildcats to a second-place team finish at the MIAA Fall Preview.  Goc fired a second round +3 74 to finish the two-day tournament to finish in a tie for sixth overall out of a field of 85 players.  She now shares the 36-hole scoring record with Jazmine Taylor, who shot 143 (+1) in 2022 at Victory Links Golf Club in Blaine, Minnesota.
            Last week in her collegiate debut as an individual player, Goc was sixth overall at the CSP/MSU Fall Brawl in Hudson, Wisconsin shooting rounds of 76-77 for a 153.
            Wayne State continues their season on October 5 and 6 when the Wildcats play in the Nebraska Intercollegiate Invite held in Cairo at Centura Hills Golf Club.
