NSIC Women's Golf All-Conference Release
Wayne State College sophomore Mekky Winyarat (win – yur – awt) has been voted the NSIC Women's Golf Newcomer of the Year while also being named All-NSIC Second Team. The 2021-22 NSIC Women's Golf All-Conference Teams were announced following the conclusion of the 2022 NSIC Women's Golf Championships played in Smithville, Missouri.
Winyarat, a sophomore from Bangkok, Thailand and transfer from Dodge City CC, averaged 81.48 over 21 rounds played this season, ranking 16th overall in the NSIC in 18-hole scoring average and was third on the Wildcat roster. She finished in a tie for 12th at this weekend's NSIC Championships with a 249 score over 54 holes. Winyarat posted a season-best round of 75 (+3) at the Wildcat Classic in Wayne on April 11th and had seven of her 21 rounds this season in the 70's.
Wayne State finished the 2022 season with a second place finish at the NSIC Women's Golf Championships.
