NSIC Women's Golf Weekly Release 9/21/22

Jazmine Taylor of Wayne State College was announced Wednesday as the NSIC Women's Golfer of the Week following her performance at the Golden Bear Classic in Blaine, Minnesota Monday and Tuesday.  It's the second time in her Wildcat career (10/13/21) that Taylor has collected NSIC Women's Golfer of the Week honors.
Taylor, a junior from Millard North High School, captured individual medalist honors while setting two new school records with rounds of 71 and 72 for a 36-hole total of 143, one-over-par.  Her rounds of 71 and 72 were individual school records, bettering her two rounds of 73 set last season.
The 36-hole total of 143 was another school record set by Taylor, eclipsing her previous school record of 150 set last season at the Nebraska Intercollegiate Invite in Norfolk October 8-9, 2021.
Taylor helped Wayne State to a second place team finish with a new team school record 36-hole score of 612, bettering the previous school record of 624 set last fall at the Mustang Invite in Marshall, Minnesota.
Wayne State will compete again this weekend at the Mustang Invitational hosted by Southwest Minnesota State in Marshall, Minnesota Saturday and Sunday.
