The Wayne State College volleyball team is ranked fourth in the final AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll released late Monday afternoon. The Wildcats received 1,043 points in voting conducted by 47 Division II coaches from across the nation. It's the 14
th time in the last 17 years WSC had ended the season ranked in the Top 25 and it's the second straight season Wayne State ended the year ranked fourth in the nation.
Wayne State ended the 2023 season with a 31-3 record, winning a second straight NSIC regular season title with a perfect 18-0 league record. The Wildcats captured a second NCAA Central Region title and advanced to the Elite 8 in Pittsburgh, Pa. falling to eventual national champion Cal State Los Angeles 3-2 in the national quarterfinals.
