For the second straight week Wayne State junior quarterback
Nick Bohn (bow – un) was named the Northern Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week announced Monday morning by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota. It's the second time this season and third time overall that Bohn has collected NSIC Player of the Week honors in football.
A 6-1, 215-pound quarterback from Bennington, Bohn threw for a career-high 378 yards for a second straight week to go with a career-best five TD's in Wayne State's 38-35 win at Missouri S&T Saturday night. He completed 19 of 25 passes in the win and threw all five TD passes in the first half as the 'Cats built a 38-14 halftime lead. Bohn's pass efficiency rating of 269.01 in the contest was also an NSIC high last week.
This season, Bohn has thrown for 1,147 yards completing 65 of 102 passes with 10 TD's and just two interceptions. He ranks first in the NSIC in pass efficiency (186.6), second in passing yards per game (286.7), second in total offense per game (295.3), third in passing TD's (10) and fourth in completion percentage (63.7).
Wayne State is 3-1 on the season and visits Minot State Saturday at 1 p.m. in an NSIC contest.
