The 2024 Wayne State College baseball season will get an early start than expected thanks to projected mild weather as the Wildcats neutral site baseball series vs. Bemidji State previously scheduled for March 15, 16 and 17 will now be played this weekend in Elkhorn at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park. Games will now be played Friday at 3 p.m. (1-9) followed by a Saturday doubleheader starting at 12 p.m. with the finale of the four-game series set for Sunday at 12 p.m. The 'Cats are picked sixth in this year's Preseason NSIC Baseball Coaches Poll after posting records of 25-26 overall and 18-16 in the NSIC last season. Last season WSC swept a three-game series against Bemidji State in Wayne by scores of 16-2, 18-8 and 16-6.
