The Wayne State at Minnesota Crookston three-game NSIC baseball series that was scheduled to be played in Crookston, Minnesota this weekend (Saturday/Sunday) has been moved to Wayne due to cold weather in northern Minnesota and the series will now be played one day earlier on Friday and Saturday at the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex. A nine-inning game is slated for Friday at 2 p.m. followed by a Saturday twinbill with game times at 12 and 2 p.m.
Minnesota Crookston will remain the home team in all three games. The Golden Eagles are 11-7 on the season and 4-2 in the NSIC so far this season. UMC is coming off a 5-2 trip on their spring trip to Florida last week. Wayne State sits 10-9 overall and 2-4 in league play and went 3-1 over the weekend on their spring trip to Cary, North Carolina.
Last season, Minnesota Crookston took three of four games from the Wildcats played in Pueblo, Colorado in late February (WSC 12-1, UMC 8-0, UMC 11-6, UMC 11-9).
