Four players from Wayne State College were named to the 2025 AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) All-Central Region Team released Wednesday morning by the coaches' association office in Lexington, Kentucky. Junior outside hitter

Delaney Miller each received First Team honors while sophomore setter
Molly Romano was named All-Central Region honorable mention. Miller was also voted by region coaches as the AVCA Central Region Freshman of the Year.
Robles, a 5-11 junior outside hitter from Norfolk Catholic HS, was an All-NSIC First Team honoree for a second straight season for the Wildcats. She averaged 3.46 kills and 3.13 digs per set, ranking eighth in the NSIC in kills per set. Robles tied for third in service aces (0.44) and was fourth in points per set at 4.09. She posted a team-high 14 double-doubles this season and was voted AVCA National Player of the Week October 21
st and NSIC Offensive Player of the Week October 20
th. Robles had a rare, 20/20 double-double with 22 kills and a career-high 21 digs vs. Northern State in the first round of the NSIC Tournament November 18th.
Hanel, a 6-0 sophomore middle hitter from Clarkson (Clarkson-Leigh HS), also earned All-NSIC First Team honors this season for the Wildcats averaging 2.90 kills and 0.98 blocks per set. She ranked second in the NSIC this year in solo blocks (31), was sixth in hitting percentage (.374), seventh in blocks and 15
th in points per set. Hanel tied a single match school record with 13 blocks and 18 kills in a 3-2 win over #10 St. Cloud State October 11
th. She was named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week (9/29/25) and NSIC Defensive Player of the Week (10/13/25) and was voted to the Colorado Premier and Thrasher Classic All-Tournament Teams to start the season.
Miller, a 5-10 freshman outside hitter from Ankeny, Iowa (Centennial HS) was voted All-NSIC First Team along with NSIC Freshman of the Year thanks to a sensational debut season with the Wildcats. She led WSC and ranked third in the NSIC in kills per set at 3.83 and was eighth in points per set (3.95). Miller has 20 or more kills in six of her last 12 matches including her previous three entering this week's NCAA Central Region Tournament. She had a career-best 25 kills hitting .436 in a 3-1 win over Northern State November 18
th and had 24 kills vs. St. Cloud State in the NSIC Tournament semi-finals November 21
st. Miller was named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week November 17
th and has 20 matches this season with 10 or more kills.
Romano, a 5-9 sophomore setter from Council Bluffs, Iowa (Abraham Lincoln HS), is a First Team recipient this year after named All-NSIC Second Team as a freshman last season. She ranked fourth in the NSIC this season averaging 11.25 assists per set and also averaged 2.46 digs per set finishing with 10 double-doubles this season. Romano was a three-time NSIC Setter of the Week selection this season and had a career-best 63 set assists in a 3-1 win over Northern State in the NSIC Tournament First Round on November 18
th. She also helped WSC post the second-best hitting percentage in the NSIC this season at .282.
Wayne State is ranked fourth in the final regular season AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll with a 27-4 record. The Wildcats are the #3 seed for the NCAA Central Region Volleyball Tournament that starts Thursday in Kearney and will face #7 nationally-ranked and #6 seed Washburn (26-4) at 11 a.m. Thursday morning.
