Wayne State College freshman forward
Matt Noll was named to the 2024-25 NSIC Men's Basketball All-Conference Team announced Thursday morning by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota. A graduate of Sioux City Bishop Heelan Catholic High School, Noll received Second Team honors.
A 6-7 forward for the Wildcats, Noll was the leading scorer this season for Wayne State averaging 13.0 points overall and 13.3 points per game in NSIC games. He had 21 games scoring double figures this season with five games of 20 or more points highlighted by a season-high 32 points at Minot State on February 22
nd.
Noll shot 53.5 percent from the field, ranking fourth in the NSIC, and he tied for 13
th in the league in blocked shots per game (0.8). He played in all 29 games for the Wildcats with 28 starts as a freshman.
In NSIC games, Noll averaged a team-leading 13.3 points with 4.4 rebounds per game scoring double figures in 16 of 22 league contests. He shot 52.3 percent from the field in league play and scored double figures in 10 straight games during league play (December 14-January 25).
Wayne State finished the 2024-25 season with a record of 16-13 overall and finished 10
th in the NSIC with a 10-12 league mark. It was the fifth straight winning season for Wildcat men's basketball.
