Wayne State women's track and field traveled up to Vermillion, S.D. to compete in USD's South Dakota Challenge. Kailee Kellem and
Torrance Tso were the top finishers for the 'Cats, both finishing second in their events.
Kellum, a sophomore from Moose Lake High School, jumped 5.62 in the long jump. Tso, also a sophomore, tossed out a throw of 48.41m in the women's discus throw.
Hailey Baker was the next highest finisher for the women's team, as she finished third in the hammer throw with her new personal best. The senior's sixth attempt was measured out to 48.41m.
Freshman Allie Czapla crossed the finish line in the 3000m steeple with a new PR and fifth place finish with a time of 12:14.26.
The next meet for the Wildcats is Saturday, April 19
th when WSC travels to Kearney for the Loper Invite.
