Olivia Schwarzrock won the shot put while sophomore
Jalecia Williams hit an NCAA provisional mark in the hammer throw Sunday to lead the Wayne State women's track and field team in the Loper Invite held at Kearney.
Schwarzrock had a winning throw of 44' 4" to in the shot put while Williams took third at 42' ¾". Williams also hit an NCAA provisional mark of 175' 5" which was third overall in the weight throw.
Second-place finishers included
Breylee Botts in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.51 seconds and
Ava Leinen in the long jump with a top mark of 17' 9 ¾".
Reagan Murphy was third in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.64 seconds and
McKinley Grover had a third-place finish in the discus at 151' 5".
Fourth-place finishes went to
Alyssa Folds in the 200-meter dash (25.68),
Kaitlyn Bloomenrader in the 800-meter run at 2:19.50 and
Kalli Reese in the javelin throw (115' 5").
Carly Busch was fifth in the 100-meter dash at 12.38 seconds and sixth in the 200 (25.85),
Callie Kirchner took fifth in the 1,500-meter run at 4:50.00 and
Anna Coffee cleared 5' 3 ¾" to finish fifth in the high jump.
The Wildcat 4 x 100-meter relay quartet of
Alaina Nelson,
Alyssa Folds,
Carly Busch and
Reagan Murphy came in third place with a time of 48.27 seconds.
Wayne State competes again on Wednesday in the Mount Marty Twilight Invitational in Yankton starting at 5 p.m.
