Jordyn Rochholz were each first-time honorees. Borngrebe, Chance and Coleman also advance to the All-American ballot with All-American honorees announced Tuesday, June 16
th.
Klein, a junior outfielder from Millard West HS, posted a .3679 grade point average majoring in exercise science. On the field, she started all 56 games for the Wildcats and recorded a .307 batting average with 59 hits and 50 runs scored from the leadoff position and tied for second on the team with 14 multi-hit games. Klein also shined defensively with a .981 fielding percentage making just one error in 51 chances this season.
Borngrebe, a redshirt sophomore pitcher/designated player from Elkhorn South HS, maintained a 3.718 grade point average majoring in business and accounting. On the field, she was an All-NSIC First Team selection and voted D2CCA All-Central Region Second Team thanks to a 19-7 record in the circle with a 1.77 ERA. She was second in the NSIC in strikeouts (215) and opponent batting average (.181), was third in ERA and fourth in wins and innings pitched (169.2). At the plate, Borngrebe had a .308 batting average with six home runs and 33 RBI.
Chance, a sophomore second baseman from Blair (Blair HS), carries a 3.728 grade point average majoring in nursing. On the field, she was named All-NSIC Second Team after starting all 56 games at second base and posting a .361 batting average while scoring a team-high 57 runs. Chance led the NSIC and set a new single season school record with 40 walks, was third in runs scored, fourth in on-base percentage (.490) and tied for fifth in doubles with 17. She was one of only two players on the team to have a four-hit game this season and had the second-longest hitting streak on the team at 10 games in a row.
Coleman, a junior pitcher/designated player from Lincoln (Southwest HS), maintains a 3.731 grade point average majoring in business/human resources. She was an All-NSIC First Team selection this season going 15-6 in the circle with a 2.09 ERA, striking out 171 batters in just 107.1 innings pitched. Coleman had four shutouts and five complete games and ranked fourth in the NSIC in strikeouts and opponent batting average (.195) and was eighth in ERA and wins. At the plate, she carried a .324 batting average with 47 hits, five home runs and 37 RBI.
Rochholz, a junior outfielder from Elkhorn (Elkhorn HS), recorded a 3.779 grade point average majoring in applied human and sport physiology. In the field, she started 50 games this season (27-LF, 17-CF) and hit .269 with five home runs and 14 RBI. Rochholz had seven multi-hit games and had a season-high three RBI in a 12-1 win at Minnesota State April 11
th with a three-run homer and again April 24
th in a 14-0 win over Umary.
Wayne State finished the 2026 season with records of 42-14 overall and 21-9 in the NSIC to finish in third place. The 42 wins by the Wildcats were the second-most in program history and just the third time ever the team won 40 games in a season.
